Tammy Dieffenbach, Licensed Midwife and Owner of ALBC, started with a simple premise: Make safe, out-of-hospital birth choices available to families of the Treasure Coast, so they can give birth in a loving, supportive environment with completely individualized care. As a midwife, she educates each family about the importance of preventative health measures and she is passionate about practicing evidence-based maternity care. She attend her first birth over 20 years ago, has served families at births full time for over 16 years, and has owned and operated one of the busiest home birth practices in the state of Florida for over 13 years. The track record she’s accumulated over the years speaks volumes of her commitment to patients, their families, and the community. Tammy has the honor of being a wife, and she and her husband Mark have been blessed to be the parents of eight amazing children. At this time, Tammy is the Clinical Director, Administrator, and lead midwife at Abundant Life Birth Center, LLC.


Maya Duarte is a Licensed Midwife at ALBC, a wife, and mother of two beautiful daughters. She has been attending out-of-hospital births since she was a young girl, but her journey into midwifery didn’t come until the home birth of her first child in 2011. Feeling empowered and honored in her own experience, she felt called to make a difference. She immediately began her formal education in midwifery, while simultaneously becoming a doula, birth assistant and educator in diet and nutrition. Maya has a passion for people and knows that her life’s purpose is to have an impact on others, starting with mothers. She believes that by providing evidence-based care in a safe and nurturing environment, women and their families are empowered to make informed choices that are right for them. Maya considers herself forever humbled and honored to walk alongside amazing families like yours during a most precious time.


Cynda Kelley is a Licensed Midwife at ALBC.  She is the proud mother of 4 grown children, and is “Mia” to 5 beautiful grandchildren.  Cynda’s journey to midwifery began 20 years ago when she attended her first home birth and has since attended over 400 births.  She is passionate about birth and enjoys being blessed by each woman she gets to serve, as they become mothers and grow their family.  Cynda carries such a genuine love and peace with her during prenatal visits as well as at each birth she attends.  Cynda hopes that each woman and family she gets to serve feels safe, loved, and informed from the beginning of pregnancy to the last postpartum visit.


Sonia Bond is the birth assistant at ABLC. She is a mommy to four beautiful children, who range in age from 15-4. Along with being the lead birth assistant at ALBC, Sonia is also the co-owner of Bell House Doulas and works as a labor and postpartum doula and breastfeeding counselor. She has been a part of the birthing community since 2003, with a large resource of doulas, midwives, breastfeeding and medical professionals whom she works with daily. Sonia is incredibly passionate about educating and empowering women to receive evidence based care, no matter their birth choices. She feels incredibly honored to be a part of ALBC and your birth journey.


Brittney Mozingo is the Office Administrator at ALBC. Brittney studied Psychology at Indian River State College and spent time studying worship ministry at Bethel School of Ministry in California.  She loves building relationship with the mothers in our care and making sure that the Birth Center is a safe and comfortable place for them and their families.  Brittney is passionate about helping mothers to feel empowered and encouraged in their birth journey and she feels so incredibly honored to be able to walk beside families during such an important time in their lives!
